I'm currently reading a novel called "The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep and Never Had to" by D.C. Pierson, and am enjoying it immensely so far. I spotted it at Powell's and loved the cover. The narrator, a typical geeky teenage boy, and his best friend (the title character) are rather likable and quite interesting.

I really liked the textures of this brick wall; it was the side of a building where we parked in Seattle to go to Pike's Market. I like the dirt and grime on it; I think it gives it a human quality.

*Sorry, Mr. Sartre. I couldn't think of a better title.
